Literacy - The Lost Book of Adventures

This week, we were excited to start writing our explanation texts: a survival guide for a desert island.

We used the maps of the islands that we created earlier in the unit and carefully planned our paragraphs: how to build shelter, make a raft, food and water and survival tips. 

Before writing, we practised the new sentence types we have learned: relative clauses, parenthesis and colons for a list.

The children have worked really hard and should be very proud of the writing that they have produced.
