Science Performances
This week, we had an exciting Science Lesson all about the circulatory system. We learnt how oxygen and nutrients are transported around our bodies via our circulatory systems. First we breathe in air (including oxygen) into our lungs which contain thousands of tiny air sacs (alveoli). These help the oxygen to get absorbed into our blood stream. The veins, arteries and capillaries help to transport this blood to and from the heart. Our heart pumps blood continuously around our body so that nutrients, oxygen and water are transported around our bodies to keep our organs functioning.
We then had to act out the different functions of our circulatory system and we showed our performances to the class which was highly entertaining!
