Science - Classifying Plants

The children have had a great week back at school!

They have settled into their new class and made an excellent start to year 6.

In Science this week, we have grouped and classified plants according to common observable characteristics. We used our prior knowledge of different types of plants to compare and discuss how they are similar and different. Then we sorted a collection of plants into the following categories: bulbs, vegetables, fruits, flowering trees and grasses.
