Literacy- Gargoyles

This week, the children have thoroughly enjoyed exploring our new class text, Gargoyles, during our literacy lessons.

We have been investigating how authors create mood and atmosphere through their choice of language. Working in groups, the children performed sections of the story, carefully considering which words to emphasise to bring the atmosphere to life.

It has been a real joy to see the children applying this rich vocabulary so confidently in their own writing.
