Friday 5th December - Tinsel and trips!

This week in Year 2 has been full of excitement, learning and a whole lot of festive fun!

We began the week with a fantastic trip to the Luton Central Mosque. The children behaved wonderfully and showed great respect throughout the visit. It was an informative morning where they learned all about the Islamic faith, asked thoughtful questions and explored the beautiful space. The team at the mosque were incredibly welcoming and even surprised the children with gift bags as a thank you for their interest and enthusiasm. A huge thank you to our parent helpers who kindly took time out of their day to support us — we couldn’t have done it without you!

Later in the week, we celebrated Deco Day, and the classroom was bursting with Christmas spirit. The children loved getting creative, making all sorts of festive crafts and decorations. There was plenty of glitter — everywhere! — which is always a great sign of just how much fun everyone had. The room may still be sparkling, but so are the children with how excited they are for the festive season!

It truly was a memorable week for Year 2, filled with learning, laughter and lots of Christmas cheer.
