Friday 27th February
It was lovely to welcome everyone back to school after the half term break. The children returned full of energy and ready for a busy and exciting week of learning!
One of the highlights of our week was starting our swimming lessons. The children were very enthusiastic and showed great confidence in the water. It was wonderful to see them supporting one another and trying their best as they began developing their swimming skills.
In Science, we explored a new topic: coastal habitats. We learned about the different animals that live along the coast, such as crabs, seabirds, and fish. The children were fascinated to discover how these animals survive in their environment. We talked about how some animals have special features that help them live near the sea, like strong shells, waterproof feathers, or the ability to hide in rock pools.
The class enjoyed discussing the different creatures you might find at the seaside and thinking about how the habitat provides food, shelter, and protection for them.
It has been a fantastic start to the new half term, and we are looking forward to another week full of learning and fun!
Have a lovely weekend all,
Mrs Clewley
