Friday 24th April - Science, Seas and singing!

This week in Year 2, we have been busy exploring lots of exciting new learning across different subjects!

In Science, we have been learning all about how animals change as they grow. We explored the life cycle of a caterpillar and were fascinated to see how it transforms over time. We also watched a time-lapse video showing how a frog develops into an adult, which helped us understand the different stages of its life cycle.

In Geography, we have started our brand-new unit all about seas and coasts. We used atlases to help us identify the seas surrounding the United Kingdom and enjoyed revisiting our knowledge of the four countries within the UK and their capital cities. We also explored the flags and famous landmarks of each country, which was great fun!

Alongside our classroom learning, we have begun practising for our class assembly, which is coming up on 8th May. We are working hard and are very excited to share some of our learning with you.

It has been a wonderful week, and we are looking forward to even more learning next week!

Have a lovely weekend all,

Mrs Clewley
