Friday 20th March - Super science and more!

This week has been an incredibly exciting and memorable one for our Year 2 class!

We started the week with our Rock Steady concert, and what a fantastic way to begin! It was amazing to see the children perform with such confidence and enthusiasm. They truly put on a brilliant show, and we were so proud of each and every one of them.

In the middle of the week, we were treated to another wonderful musical experience during our piano assembly. Once again, the Year 2 children impressed us with their talent and dedication. It was a joy to watch—well done to all the performers!

On Thursday, we headed off on our much-anticipated school trip to Chiltern Open Air Museum. This was a fantastic opportunity to enhance our learning about living things and their habitats. The children thoroughly enjoyed pond dipping, using identification cards to discover what creatures were living in the water.

We also took part in an exciting (and slightly messy!) activity—dissecting owl pellets. The children carefully examined them to identify the bones inside and learn about what owls eat. It was a fascinating hands-on experience!

We were very lucky with the weather, which meant we could enjoy our lunch outside in the sunshine. To finish off the day, we explored the woods, searching for insects and bugs—there was lots of excitement as different creatures were discovered!

It truly was a brilliant, fun-filled day that we will all remember.

A huge thank you to all the parent helpers who took time out of their day to support us—we really appreciate your help!

Have a lovely weekend all,

Mrs Clewley
