24th October - Earthquakes!

In Geography, Year 3 have been learning all about earthquakes and how powerful they can be! We discovered that earthquakes can cause five deadly features: tsunamis, landslides, liquefaction, ground shaking, and the raising and lowering of land. We learned how each of these can change the landscape and affect people’s lives. For example, tsunamis create huge waves that can flood coastal areas, and liquefaction turns solid ground into something that acts like quicksand! The children were fascinated by how much the Earth can move and how important it is to understand these natural events.

Have a lovely and restful half term.

Please remember to bring pencil cases back on Monday filled with resources and glue sticks! Thank you!
