20th March - Moving our joints!
In Year 3 science this week, we learned about how our bodies move by exploring three different types of joints: ball and socket, hinge, and gliding joints. We discovered how each joint works and where they are found in the body. To help us understand this, we carried out a fun experiment outside, where we tested which joints were used during different movements such as walking, crawling, and jumping. After observing and discussing our results, we shared our findings with the class. To finish the lesson, we had great fun doing the Macarena, using it as a creative way to identify which joints were moving during each part of the dance!

Have a lovely, sunny weekend!
