17th October - Map making

A Creative Week in Geography and Literacy!

This week in Geography, the children had a fantastic time creating their very own 3D maps of Apsley! Using junk modelling materials, they brought the town to life by including both physical and human features. A huge thank you to everyone who sent in recycling materials — your contributions helped make these imaginative maps possible. The children were so proud of their creations and loved exploring how geography shapes the world around them.

We also had the exciting opportunity to take part in an Author Event led by Liz Pichon, the creator of Meet the Mubbles. The children learned all about her new book and even got the chance to illustrate characters and scenes alongside Liz herself! It was an inspiring session that really sparked their creativity and got everyone excited about reading, writing, and drawing.

What a wonderful week of creativity, learning, and imagination!

Looking forward to meeting you all at Parents Evening next week!

Have a lovely weekend all, Mrs Clewley
