We have begun rehearsals for our performance of Midsummer Night’s Dream, by William Shakespeare! We began by getting to know the story by using an adapted animated version by BBC Teach. As we watched, we paused to discuss the characters, the setting and the themes. We then made freeze frames, soundscapes and character statues to start to explore the world of the play.

We have been recapping and revising our calculation methods and prior learning in Maths to ensure we keep our Maths skills going ready for secondary school.

On Thursday, we were lucky enough to have a visit from some of the teachers at Hemel Hempstead school, and to meet some ex-pupils of Two Waters who are now at Hemel. The children had an opportunity to ask lots of questions and to find out a bit about what life is like in secondary school.

Coming up next week: rehearsals of Midsummer Night’s Dream, and more rehearsals of Midsummer Night’s Dream (with some science about classification and maths fluency work too!).
