Year 4’s Week 6 (14.10.22)

What an amazing week. Year 4 has continued to impress everyone in the school with their brilliant work. In Literacy, we completed our big write and wrote a non-chronological report about an African island that has been recently discovered. We focused on expanded noun phrases as well as on the use of conjunctions. In Maths, we started a new unit, Addition and Subtraction. The whole class responded really well to the learning and it shows how well the fluency focus has been supporting them to consolidate their learning. In History, we learned about the Hieroglyphics and also the process of mummification. We took out learning extremely seriously and mummified tomatoes so that we can practically understand each step in the process. In PE, we practiced balancing poses and in Music we learned how to perform a poetry with beat thumping. Next week is full of fun learning as we will be learning all the art and design skills to create something really exciting! Watch the space…

Have a lovely weekend.

Kind Regards,

Mrs. Rafique
