Year 4’s Week 3 (22.09.23)

Well done Year 4 for another fantastic week. In Maths we finished our first unit of 4-digit numbers where we learned about partitioning them using non-standardised methods and how to represent them in multiple ways. In Literacy, we wrote limerick-styled fable poems. It was even more fun because we got to share our lovely writing with Year 5. We also listened to their poems to get inspiration. In Science, we looked at the particle arrangements of different solids, liquids, and gases. We discussed in detail the reason why a ruler cannot absorb water and a paper towel can. In History, we studied the timeline of ancient civilisations and how many of them we have learned about so far. In PE, we continued with netball and gymnastics. We are practicing teddy rolls in partners. In Music, we are exploring the pop music of the 1980s.

Have a nice weekend.

Kind Regards,

Mrs. Rafique
