Year 4’s Week 2 (13.01.2023)

Happy New Year!

We had a nice start of the year where we are engaging and exploring in the whole school unit in Literacy called, ‘Small in the City’. We are loving it and had a good discussion about how one might feel small in a big city, what are the advantages and disadvantages of a big city etc. We looked forward to write a range of different pieces including poetry, diary entries and small sections of a narrative. In Maths we continued to learn multiplication of two and three digit numbers with a single number using a variety of different methods. In History, we will be learning about the Roman Empire and its impact on the Britain. We explored the timeline once again and this time, we pinned when the Romans existed. In Science, we will be learning about electricity this whole term. In RE, we are exploring prayer, worship and reflection for people of religion. The highlight of the week is… SWIMMING! Year 4 went to learn swimming and it was amazing. We all enjoyed getting in the water and perform our best stokes.

Have a lovely weekend.

Kind Regards,

Mrs. Rafique
