Year 4’s Week 1 (22.04.22)

What a brilliant start to the summer term! It was lovely to see all the students with their beaming faces back to school when the sun is out. We dug straight into our learning as we still have loads of exciting new things to learn. In Literacy, we planned and started our big write. We are writing a persuasive article, convincing our audience to visit a destination of our choice. It will become very useful indeed as the summer holidays are approaching and we all need ideas for a relaxing holiday destination. In Maths, we have completed the first part of the Decimal unit and will start the second part next week. In science, we have started our new unit, ‘Living things and their habitats’. Everyone is loving this topic at the moment because whilst we think we know a lot about different living organisms, we realised that we still have too much to learn. In PE, we are learning the rules to play rounders. In computing, we have started a very important unit of ‘Online Safety’. We explored how to protect ourselves from identity theft.

Have a lovely weekend.

Kind Regards,

Mrs. Rafique
