A message for parents

As time has gone on, I appreciate that keeping the children motivated at home has become increasingly difficult. I’ve had a few conversations with parents and children and I know some of the children are beginning to flag a little.

In terms of learning packs, we have had lots of feedback from parents saying they are really enjoying the interactive nature of the lessons but I also know that the style does not suit all. The priority is to ensure the children have some structure and routine around their learning and that they continue to plug away a little each day so they are well prepared to begin learning at school again when that time comes.

If you are enjoying Oak lessons, please continue to use the packs. If you would like further ideas for lessons, there are a number of good quality websites who are offering home learning packs for you to use. I have listed some below. Some offer worksheets alongside presentations.

All of these sites offer work pitched at Year 4 using the appropriate objectives so if you decide to use these sites instead then rest assured they are still covering the right content. I hope this helps.

I’m here to offer any support or just for a chat so please do keep in touch.
