Volcano experts!

The children have worked exceptionally well again this week and they should continue to be proud of their achievements so far in year 3!

This week in geography, to help them with their understanding of how a volcano is structured they made their own volcano! They learned that magma chamber is stored at the bottom of the volcano and as soon as it reaches the Earths surface it becomes lava. Lava flows out of the crater which is at the top of the volcano. Next week we will learn how a volcano erupts by making our own volcanic eruption! Watch this space for some fabulous eruptions next week!

The children have been working hard on their spellings and I have been super impressed with their determination to do well each week, keep up the great work.

The children would have gone home with their new spellings for next week and a new reading book which I have scanned into boom reading so don’t forget to log in your child’s reading over the weekend.

Next Wednesday, 28th September at 2:45pm don’t forget to come to the class meeting where I will be giving you all the information needed for what’s to come for your child in year 3! There will be time for any questions after the meeting as well.

Have a fabulous weekend all,

Miss Hurrell
