Friday 28th January

What a fabulous week we have had this week. In music we were lucky enough to use the African drums. We made some wonderful rhythms in the style of reggae music based on the song we are listening to at the moment, ‘Three little birds’ by the legend Bob Marley. The children played a beat of 4 or 8 on the drums and the rest of the class were to copy it back. It was super fun and the children really enjoyed it!

The children have also produced some lovely poems this week based in the poetry book we have been focusing on, the lost spells. They have been using ambitious vocabulary to add detail to their poems. I must say, they are all beautiful and the children should be very proud of themselves. It will definitely be a beautiful display on our literacy wall.

Have a lovely weekend all, Miss Hurrell!
