Super scientist!

This week Year 2 have been learning about seeds and how they are dispersed. We then dissected a lot of fruit and made predictions as to how many seeds we think will be in the fruit. It was a lot of fun and the children thoroughly enjoyed the dissecting. We learned how seeds are dispersed through wind, water and animals and role played these scenarios.
In literacy the children wrote their final Diary entries based on the tale Rapunzel, we edited and improved our writing and I must say children made some wonderful pieces of writing which we have displayed as our own class book and will be in the reading corner for the children to enjoy.
The children continue to be super sporty this week and have been focusing on their jumps in gymnastics and we had our first go with the new tennis nets which the children really enjoyed.
Another fantastic week in Year 2!
Have a lovely bank holiday and see you on Tuesday.
