27 May – Celebrating the Jubilee

This week has been incredibly busy. The children have finished off their units in Geography, RE, PSHE and literacy etc and have been completing our end of unit assessments to consolidate their learning for this half term. I was very impressed by their reflections on their learning and the connections they are able to make with other units from earlier in the year. We also completed our Art project – this week, we have been creating clay tiles, using kneading, joining and sculpting skills to create a seaside-themed tile. We, of course, ended this half term with a fantastic ‘street party’ on the school playground in celebration of the Queen’s jubilee. It was lovely to see the whole school community come together to celebrate this fantastic milestone on the final afternoon.

I hope you all have a wonderful half term.
Warmest wishes,
Mrs Hunter
