23 September – Squad Goals

In cheerleading this week, Year 2 have been learning about the importance of our PE values, working together as a team, being responsible and trusting each other when starting to explore lifts and balances. They are looking fantastic with their Two Waters pom-poms and are thoroughly enjoying their new sport. In computing, the children explored timers by animating a magic show, hiding and revealing a rabbit in a hat. This is a challenging area of code which highlights the importance of sequencing carefully. The children will continue to explore this concept next week. In music, the children used their voices creatively to add sound effects to a poem. They had great fun performing this to our Deputy Head, Miss Shay. They then explored pitch in music, creating ‘graphs’ mirroring the high notes and low notes they heard.

It was lovely to see so many of you at our Class Meeting on Thursday. I know it can be really difficult to carve out time for these meetings, especially if you are working through the week. I’ve put the presentation we showed in our class area on the website. If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to speak to us on the door each morning or afternoon; alternatively, email or call the school office and we can always telephone you back.

Kind regards,
Mrs Hunter & Mrs Cavenagh-Mainwaring
