Year 4’s Week 3 (23.06.22)

Time literally flew this week whilst Year 4 were working exceptionally hard in learning a lot of new concepts. All the children have successfully completed their Multiplication Tables Check and they performed absolutely brilliantly! I am extremely proud of them all. In Maths, we started Geometry and I have to say that this is the first concept that Year 4 is finding challenging! However, with resilience and perseverance, they managed to answer the majority of the questions. In Literacy, we carried on writing a free-form poem about the place in between and also wrote a fantastic, magical setting description for it. In science, we learned about the food chain and constructed some of our own. In Geography, we worked really hard to research the major rivers of the UK.

While the beautiful weather approaches and is planning to stay, I would like to remind all the children and parents to ensure that children come to school with a water bottle and a sun hat. If you have given consent for the re-application of the sunblock, please make sure that your child brings in their sunblock. An adult will supervise them while they re-apply the cream. Other than that, just enjoy the beautiful British weather. It won’t last long!

Have a lovely long weekend.

Kind Regards, Mrs. Rafique
