Year 1, Friday, March 8th, 2024

In History, we learnt about the extremely courageous Amelia Earhart. She was an early superstar of flying. She almost flew around the whole world, but sadly, she and her co-pilot did not complete their adventure. We learnt a lot about the mystery concerning what happened and shared our thoughts regarding what we think happened to her.

In Science, we learn more about the features of seasons and thought about what activities might be suited to each of the seasons.

We have been developing our throwing and catching skills. As the term progresses, we are moving from larger, soft balls, to slightly harder balls that are smaller.

I couldn’t leave this blog without mentioning the tremendous success that was World Book Day. The costumes were amazing and it was a joy to see children from different year groups coming together to share their love of their books.
