This week we celebrated World Book Day! We really enjoyed visiting our buddies in Reception and reading to them. We shared our wonderful costumes and talked about our chosen character and book.

In RE, we continued our learning about Easter stories, learning about Palm Sunday and considering what different people thought about Jesus, and the symbolic significance of the palm tree.

We held an “Evolution and Inheritance” quiz in Science this week, revising our knowledge of key terms such as “inheritance” and “advantageous characteristics”.

PE involved practising our basketball dribbling and shooting skills using the “caterpillar game” an “the golden one” games!

In Geography, we continued our learning about the Galapagos Islands and began our research on how ocean currents affect the climate.

We continued our exploration of a range of genres in Literacy, focusing on the use of dialogue and setting description. We are building up to starting our own narrative next week, using the skills we have practised.

In Maths, we have been learning how to find percentages of amounts and percentage equivalents.
