We have had a busy week this week in Year 6! Today, we celebrated our Reception buddies in a special asssembly. The Year 6 children all wrote lovely speeches about their buddies. We hope they enjoy reading them with their parents and carers again at home. All the Year 6 children have been so kind and caring to our youngest children at Two Waters and have made a great contribution to the Reception children’s start to their journey through school.
In Science, we carried out a dissection of a pig’s heart this week in order to find out how the heart works. Everyone was very brave and had a good look at them to identify the main parts of the heart. Some of us worked in the Pod and used diagrams and labels to explain how the heart works. Here are some photos to show what we got up to:
In Literacy, we finished our unit of work based on the book “And Tango Makes Three” by writing our own animal stories. We now have a class book of heart-warming stories.
