We have had a high-tech this week in Year 6!

We have used Google Earth to explore Scandinavia as part of our Geography. We found some key physical features were: fjords, mountains, glaciers and waterfalls. We also saw how most of the towns in Norway are squeezed between the mountains and the sea, which made us think that might be why the Vikings sailed to England: to find better land to farm (as well as to plunder Anglo-Saxon monasteries!).

Inspired by the book Planetarium, and the planet Pandora from the film Avatar, we have written some powerful non-chronological reports about an alien planet in Literacy. We used a range of sentence structures and ambitious vocabulary to amaze the reader.

Finally, in Science, we investigated how bulbs were affected by adding more to a circuit, we then tried adding more batteries to the circuit.
