Fantastic week!

What another fantastic week Year 1 have had. We continued to look and learn about the weather and the seasons. This week, the weather has been nice so we decided to have a Spring walk around the school field to find signs of Spring in nature (photos below). The children have thoroughly enjoyed the walk and the plants and flowers around them.  

We also have been practicing Phonics in our computing lesson! Where the children used the fantastic new Chromebooks for the first time (photos below).  

I have also been impressed with how well the children have been working in literacy this week based on our book Bats. The children have created their own non-chronological reports.  

Finally, in maths we have been focusing in additions and subtraction trough shapes. The children have had a great time learning the properties of 3D shapes.
