Headteacher’s Welcome

Proud to achieve
Proud to care

I would like to offer you a warm welcome on behalf of the whole school community at Two Waters School. I am very proud of our school, and appreciate the importance of our school within the local community.

At Two Waters our ethos is that we are, Proud to achieve, proud to care. We provide our pupils with a curriculum which engages, excites and challenges all of our children. Our lessons create memorable learning experiences for our children who love learning and speak passionately about their broad and balanced curriculum.

We teach our children to be resilient learners, to learn from mistakes and to embrace challenge as we prepare our children for the rapidly changing world ahead. We recognise the benefits of adopting a growth mindset and we instil in our pupils, a lifelong love of learning.

We are also a caring school. We recognise that children learn best when they are happy and content and we teach all of our children to be kind and empathetic. Two Waters School is a welcoming, friendly and inclusive setting where diversity is celebrated and all children are safe and well cared for. The first time I came to visit Two Waters, I was struck by the warm, welcoming feel of the school and as I have moved from class-based Deputy Headteacher to take on the headship, I have always sought to maintain this.

Don’t just take it from me, this is what some of our pupils say:

‘The staff encourage pupils to reach their full potential’ Maxwell

Two Waters is a friendly environment. All of the teachers are extremely nice. If you find something easy they will challenge you and if you find it hard they will give you extra help’. Mia

‘Two Waters is an amazing school because everyone is so trustworthy and kind. You learn so many new things; you should definitely come to this school!’ Lola

Our team is committed to providing the best possible education for our children and frequently go beyond what would normally be expected in order to achieve this, which is just one of the reasons why we believe that our school is special.

My door is always open to all of our families and I always do my best to provide the right support whenever needed. Parents are a key indicator of our success on the continued journey to school improvement, and I look forward to working with you to ensure the very best opportunities and provision for your child.

Yours sincerely,

Mr T Gately
