Stone Age Jewellery

It has been a busy few weeks in Year 3 and we are really getting into our Stone Age topic. We have already learnt about the type of homes Stone Age people would have lived in and how these homes changed over the Stone Age period. We also found out about the Stone Age settlement ‘Skara Brae’ which was discovered in Scotland in 1850. We created our own news reports about the discovery and these are now on our website for you to have a look at.

Today we began to make our Stone Age jewellery out of clay, considering the shape and design of either a bracelet or necklace. When these are dry we will then paint them to make them look even more realistic! More pictures can be found in our gallery.

Next week is Creative Week! More details will follow but it is sure to be an exciting week for all of us!

New spellings will be coming home tomorrow. The children will be tested on these on Thursday next week as Friday is Deco Day.

Have a lovely weekend 🙂
