Friends of Two Waters

What is the FTW?

The Friends of Two Waters is a registered charity, associated with Two Waters Primary School, aimed at raising funds for the school. All parents, carers, friends, grandparents - anyone who wants to help the school and our children - can take part in the FTW!

The FTW raises money through a variety of events and activities throughout the year. This year, the FTW wants to increase the amount of fund-raising events and therefore increase the funds raised for the school to benefit and enrich the education provided to our children. Over that last few years, funds raised by the FTW have contributed towards a music teacher, a new TV/DVD/Video and play equipment.

Therefore, the FTW needs your help more than ever! You make a difference to the school and the children.   If you would like to contact the FTW please email chair@ftw-pta.co.uk

Why get involved?

Joining the FTW is a great way of getting to know other parents throughout the school and becoming involved in the school community, whether your child has been at the school for years or is just joining. It is an opportunity for you to take an active part in ensuring - by raising funds - that our children’s education is enriched and enhanced.

We try to ensure though - whilst getting things done! - that we have fun and make friends!!

The success of the FTW in raising money relies on teamwork!

How can I get involved?

You can get involved as little or as much as you want to! Every offer of help, idea or spare 30 minutes is much appreciated!

Newsletters are sent home giving details of any activities and/or meetings that are taking place.

Meetings are held to discuss future events and activities - everyone is welcome!

Alternatively, if you are willing to help out at events, have any ideas of how FTW or events can be improved, please chat with your FTW Class Representative, drop a note into the school office for FTW's attention, or talk to one of the committee members.

The aim of the FTW Class Representatives is to keep parents/carers informed of events and enlist helpers from willing volunteers when necessary.

The Class Reps are responsible for ensuring all the parents in their assigned class are fully informed about FTW/PTA events and encourage you all to participate.  The Class Reps are the "Cheer Leaders" of the FTW/PTA by drumming up support and co-ordinating events.  Please contact them via email if you need any information or have any suggestions you would like to put forward.

We know that you are keen to know what our fundraising goes towards and therefore you will be pleased to hear that we are in discussions with the teachers regarding any equipment or activities that we can assist with the purchase of.  We hope to be able to give you further details soon.

Many thanks for all your support!
